During ONU Vital, the Popular Chinese Republic talked about their plan to implement 5G network to underdeveloped countries. Following that, the UK expressed their concerns, questioning the country's motivation: as a defense, the chinese delegation claimed that internet is a human right, and, as such, there is a moral obligation to provide it.

Upon interview, UK delegate Ana Luisa claimed that there might be political interests behind the PCR's actions, and does not see it as a gesture of kindness: "I don't actually believe in this promise of respecting human rights. There would be necessary a formal commitment, not based on pure trust. However, I would not approve this plan anyway."

It must be stated that the PCR is under serious accusations of violating human rights, such as in the mistreatment of the uyghur ethnicity and police brutality in Hong Kong.

In response to that, Chinese delegate João Belondi stated that these accusations are baseless, and are mainly from occidental press, who do not understand certain aspects of oriental countries. However, they understand these concerns, and "are working to solve this conflict".
