Delegations meet at the General Assembly for the moderated and unmoderated caucus

After the voting period for the proposals presented in each committee, the delegates gathered in the main room for the moderated and unmoderated caucus, here is what happened:

The assembly started with the press questioning Brazil on the country being one of the most violent countries in the world, due to organized crime and police violence. In this sense, the interviewer asked the delegation how criminal organizations have access to military-grade weapons, to which the delegate was unable to answer properly, but said that the police were well equipped and trained to fight the criminal organizations directly through armed combat.

In sequence, the United States of America were interviewed in regards to how they could control the drug trafficking in the border with Mexico. The delegates replied saying that they already had measures in place to control the illegal entrance of drugs to their country, but were going to make sure more measures were put in place.

Right after that, Brazil questioned the European Union, also in regards to international drug trafficking, to which the EU responded saying that it only happens in the continent’s borders, and they are already doing what they can to stop it.

So, the EUA started a repudiation motion to the Russian delegation, claiming that Russia had made cibernetic attacks north-american corporations. Russia then acknowledged the attacks, but guaranteed that they had nothing to do with the government, and that they were doing what they could to stop them.

Right after, Brazil made yet another repudiation motion to the EU, claiming that they did not do enough to stop human trafficking, to witch the EU responded saying that the main focus of the problem was outside of the EU’s range of action, so Brazil replied insisting that most of the sexual exploring that happens in other countries have the Europeans to blame, since they are the ones who go after theses types of services.

Then, Saudi Arabia decided to support USA’s proposals to Russia about the cibernetic attacks. In response, the USA not only thanked their support, but also decided to show support to Brazil on the same topic.

With that, the press asked India about their proposal to combat violence online, saying that it wasn't effective, since most of India's population don't have access to the internet, to which the delegation responded saying that they were trying to change that and better distribute access to the internet in the country.

Right after that, the Brazilian delegation asked the USA if they intended to re-ignite cold war conflicts in the middle east in regards to Russia’s decision to strengthen their military forces in Syria. To that, Russia said that they didn't have any military intentions in Syria, but that they only wanted to make an economic deal with the country that would benefit both of them, even though the question was directed to the United States, whose response was no, but that they wanted to form alliances internationally to resolvê the conflicts.

Right after that, Syria was questioned by the press about how they only deal with the Islamic State’s violence with more violence, to which the delegation responded saying that that was the only way possible to stop the terrorists.

With that, the Saudi Arabian delegation questioned Russia in regards to the petrol question in Syria, with Russia's response being that they didn't want to affect Syria in any way that wasn't economically and beneficial.

Then, India decided to thank Marrocos for making an alliance with them despite the etnic and religious differences between the two countries.

With that, Syria questioned the USA over why they went against their proposal in regards to the refugee question. To that, the USA responded saying that they wanted to help the refugees, but that Syria wasn’t contributing to it, since they did not even include the conflict in their final proposals. Then, Syria recognised their mistake, and went on to say that they wanted to end the war once and for all, and thanked the Russians for their help.
