Keep updated on what happened on the General Assembly's first part

The first part of ONU Vital is over, stay on top of the proposals and alliances made (or rejected).


Divided into rooms by committee, delegates discussed their proposals and ideas, with the presence of board directors and the press.

Digital Threat

The Digital Threat Committee countries underscore the importance of such a meeting for all nations in their opening speeches.

The US contextualizes the issue of cyber attacks and presents its joint proposal with Brazil to combat this problem with greater attention.

Mexico proposes an agreement with Russia to fight narco-trafficking and mentions drug dealer “El Chapo” in his speech.

Despite their differences, India and Morocco are open to negotiations to tackle problems such as corruption, which affect both countries.

Pakistan REFUSES Saudi Arabia's proposal, but hopes that the country can achieve its goals at the conference.

Human, organ trafficking and sexual exploitation


• Brazil seeks union between countries to end trafficking and proposes the control of customs, in order to mitigate economic activities, since with less needy population, less demand for trafficking (proving the idea of acceptance of trafficking by necessity). Another delegate from Brazil claims that people who traffic are seduced, as it is not only a violent crime, but also occurs the manipulation of victims.

• Colombia thinks that the trafficking is due to the civil war, and want to reinforce Plan Colombia, an alliance made with the U.S., with certain changes and wants help from other countries.

• Mexico says that trafficking is a consequence of inequality, and that organizations need to be created to fight this

• The U.S. claims that human trafficking has increased as a result of the pandemic and the allocation of funds to health, promising to comply with the agreement with the WHO and fight this problem through social networks.

• The Islamic Republic of Pakistan said it recognizes its relationship with crime and intends to collaborate with Morocco to address this problem.

• Saudi Arabia is aware of its situation regarding the issue and is willing to fight it

• Syria says that the population is vulnerable due to the Civil War, with strong influence from the Islamic State, which attracts fighters to conflicts and generates countless deaths. Therefore, they seek support from other countries.

• Russia wants to contain and solve the problem, in a virtual and real way.

• E.U. wants global harmony.

• Due to technical problems, India is unable to declare its requirements and proposals.

After the presentation of the proposals, the alliances were formed as follows:

•USA with Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico.

•Brazil with Colombia, Mexico and the USA.

•Saudi Arabia with Syria and USA.

•Russia with Syria.

•Pakistan with Morocco and European Union.

•Syria with Russia and Saudi Arabia.

- The U.S. and Saudi Arabia proposal

• International combat (also available online) through severe punishments and control over online sales proposals.

- Russia and Syria proposal

• Russia is willing to design financial support for Syria;

• Syria commits to using the capital in question for public security and internal development purposes;

• 20% (twenty percent) of the profits obtained return to Russia through the petroleum product.

- Saudi Arabia and Syria proposal

• The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Syrian Arab Republic propose access to the refugee camp;

• Saudi Arabia receives support from Syria.

- Proposal Brazil, Colombia, Mexico and the United States

• Customs monitoring to reduce irregular immigration;

• Economic aid plan to reduce social inequalities.

- Pakistan, Morocco and European Union proposal

• Assist in border control;

• Kingdom of Morocco: guarding its borders with Spain;

• Pakistan: funding in areas relating to security, victim recognition and punishment of traffickers.


Organized crime

•The U.S.A. addresses the increase in trafficking and violence in the past year, and seeks proposals that benefit its population.

•Colombia wants these problems to be reversed by 2022, seeking to make alliances to solve them. The delegation said that this is one of the most serious and urgent problems that must be dealt with.

•Saudi Arabia insinuates that there is an increase in the consumption of illicit drugs, but refuses to take responsibility for it. However, they are willing to find solutions.

•The European Union says it wants to solve the problems diplomatically, and even if there are already movements to combat these crimes, they are insufficient.

•India did not comment on the matter.


After the presentation of the proposals, the alliances were formed as follows:

•Brazil makes alliance with The U.S.A., Colombia and Mexico.

•Mexico made its alliances with Brazil, Colombia and The U.S.A.

•Syria made its alliance only with Russia.

•Morocco made its alliances with Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.

•India made its alliances with: Syria and The European Union.

•European Union made its alliances with The U.S.A. and Syria.

• Brazil presents its proposal which is a border inspection, as the countries that made an alliance (The U.S.A., Colombia and Mexico) have border problems. A joint intelligence of these countries would also be created as it would be easier to identify organized crime and drug trafficking. • Siria presents the proposal of the alliance with Russia, which is based on the socioeconomic situation that presents itself, helping the civil war that is currently helping with supplies. • Morocco presents its proposal to Saudi Arabia and Pakistan based on the extravagant amount of drug trafficking (highlights Opio) with border surveillance and intelligence with increased exchange of information between them. • India's proposal with Syria and the European Union is to open borders for refugees to prevent drug trafficking from the European Union. • The proposal of the E.U. together with the U.S. and Syria is to strengthen borders against drugs. The E.U. says they are still thinking about more alternatives. • New alliance between Mexico and USA was created. The proposal is to strengthen border resources to prevent drug trafficking.
