Some countries have shown concern regarding the exit of the UK from the European Union.

Countries such as Ethiopia have demonstrated worry regarding Great Britain’s status in the European Union. This is mainly a financial concern, but also regards to political climate as well.
The exit of the United Kingdom from the EU has been for the past few years a very delicate subject and as of today is still unresolved. Should this ongoing process occur without any prestablished deals, an evermore likely scenario, the UK would suffer economically and politically, basically isolating itself until new agreements can be made.
In today’s UN meeting, other delegations have expressed concern and are fearful of what a no-deal Brexit means for them, given the status of financial aid provided to many countries here would be in jeopardy. This reality has some representatives and their respective countries very nervous about engaging further with the UK in any financial agreements.
These reservations are probably going to have a major effect on the result of the UN’s summit, and therefore on any deals regarding plant health and food security established today.
